Duane Sample's "Mosaic Melodies" portray figures and faces of dancers and classical opera singers in his dynamic large scale mosaic panels. The visual arts, classical music, dance and opera have long been his "food for the soul." "I love to show movement in this medium because movement is life itself." He also creates mosaic mandalas and unique decorative urns.
Raised in South Central Alaska, Livvy came to know her craft through an intimate familiarity with her natural surroundings. A member of New York’s prestigious Society of Animal Artists, in 1998 she was chosen as one of six American “wildlife painters to watch” by InformArt magazine and won an Award of Merit in the Grand National Celebration of Western Art in San Francisco. She appears in the book,

Working primarily in clay, I create mosaics, murals, sculpture and public art. Of particular interest is site-specific public art, which creates an opportunity to design a beautiful, permanent work for a specific location and client.
I’m inspired by Zen aesthetic principles of simplicity, understatement, asymmetry, and tranquility. Also by Vermeer and Edward Hopper. My most recent work is fine art portraiture, using natural light in a quiet place. If you’re interested please contact me for commissioned portraiture. I’m also a writer. You can check that out at

Sandi's vibrant contemporary art has recently been welcomed in various Ashland art venues. She is most known for her art promoting the wine industry in Oregon. Fantasy blends with reality in her contemporary, sometimes surrealistic succulents, abstract flora and trees, and her most recent passion to expand her popular wine series.
The subject matter that I am interested in is representational. I strive to be thorough and accurate and yet catch what is fleeting and lively. The work I'm most proud of shows life as I see it: fatally flawed, but amazingly beautiful.

In 1977 I earned my degree in Art History. When I retired from my career in another field I began to paint, later selling my work successfully in Portland and Manzanita, OR, where I was a member of the Nehalem Bay Art League. Since moving to Jacksonville, I enjoy creating paintings of local landmarks and floral still lifes.

Stephen Edwards spent over 30 years behind a black and white viewfinder in his career as a corporate and broadcast news cameraman and as owner of Pro Video Productions in the San Francisco Bay Area. Making the transition to still black and white film photography was a natural progression. “I’ve seen the world in black and white my whole life. I feel most expressive, creative, and comfortable in the black and white format because I like the abstract nature it conjures up.”
